Virtually Hands-Free Workflows
Almost every prosthesis you prescribe from Glidewell is created primarily through computer-driven workflows. Not only do these technologies increase accuracy and predictability, but also they significantly reduce the amount of dental technicians that physically touch a given case. Instead, technicians use software to create your case, allowing their artisan skills to be applied in a digital environment. Then, mills and 3D printers physically shape your case based on the approved design. Popular offerings, such as all-ceramic crowns & bridges, dentures, and implant restorations, have had their workflows heavily digitized — giving you numerous virtually hands-free restorative options.
Our celebrated BruxZir® product line is now available through Glidewell Intelligent Manufacturing (IM), a proprietary suite of innovations that converts your elastomeric impression immediately into a digital file, skipping the need for stone models entirely. This virtually eliminates your exposure to potentially pathogenic physical impressions or study models.
Dental Technician Health Checks
Just as you’ve striven to protect your employees, at Glidewell we too have added measures to reduce the risk of our dental technicians spreading illnesses to one another or to our customers. All employees on the lab floor are required to wear face masks or face shields, and we’ve encouraged many non-laboratory personnel to work remotely when possible. Each employee is screened before entering the laboratory, with employees who show symptoms of any illness sent home to quarantine or seek professional medical care. Even with these changes, our laboratory is fully operational and ready to create your restorations.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Glidewell is now offering personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitizing spray directly to clinicians. These solutions help reduce the spread of communicable diseases and help equip the practitioner with the resources required for safely practicing dentistry. Glidewell converted segments of our ISO-certified and FDA-regulated manufacturing facilities in Orange County, California, to the production of PPE, ensuring the quality of each device and protecting American jobs.
